Smart Multichannel Vector Power Analyzer
The SMVect-PA is an Industrial grade, high accuracy, Electrical 3 Phase Power Analyzer and Multichannel Smart Meter that provides fundamental, harmonic and total active, reactive and apparent power and energy on each phase and of the overall system. It also measures Power Factor, Frequency and RMS values of Voltages and Currents. The PA incorporates line voltage period measurement, and angles between phase voltages and currents.

It incorporates power quality measurements such as short duration high/low voltage and current events etc. Under special configuration it can provide raw sampled waveforms of Voltages and currents of all 3 phases and neutral current as well.
As a Smart Power Meter, it is compatible in measurements in 3-phase, 3 or 4 wire (Delta or Wye) and other 3-phase services.
The SMVect-PA is built around a Mixed Signal, 32bit, Floating Point Digital Signal Controller, and ASICs, carrying out strict real time precision measurements and signal processing. The system provides multiple additional channels of current measurements, thus creating vectors of Active, Reactive and Apparent, Power and Energy per channel. This precisely measures power and energy distribution over multiple channels and thus stock of quantities on a per channel basis. The same input analog channels can also be used for diverse industrial analog sensors and a mix/combination of sensor inputs. This enables realization of complex power/energy measurement systems.
The analog interfaces are DC Current Transformers (DC-CT) Compatible. With Isolated precision DC Voltage Measurement Addon, sampled at high rate in real time, the PA can also measure bidirectional DC Power, Energy, Voltage and Current, their main components and the harmonic content.
Additionally precise isolated digital inputs for counting, pulse width and pulse/sec measurements provided industrial measurements. Additional 4-20ma compatible interfaces are also provided for sensor measurements.
Communication interfaces include isolated RS 485, isolated CAN, isolated USB2 Slave and optional Ethernet. I2C and SPI connectors are available for additional compatible addon boards for capability extension.

The hardawre comes with a pre-built application that runs on top of TI’s DSP-BIOS/TI-RTOS for sensor data acquisition and control. Configuration and Information exchange is via MessagePack formatted messages. Configuration can also be carried out via command line interface.

Compatible Addons
A range of hardware and software compatible, rich addons are available to extend the capabilities of base Board. These include precision Battery Stack Measurement/Management System, High Voltage Solar PV measurement, Battery Bank Measurement, Solid State Relay (2.2KVA AC Capable) & Small Signal Relay Boards, Multichannel Isolated Digital Input etc. With these addons, complex systems, solutions and applications can be realized.
Application Software
SMVect-PA comes with prebuilt application software running TI’s DSP-BIOS Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and is ready for end deployment. The software includes drivers, application, server/cloud connectivity and command line interface for configuration that is stored on onboard non volatile memory.
The application provides caliberation and configuration interface for the 3 Phase Power Analyzer Section. All given parameters can be caliberated and programmed to meet matching Current Transformers (CTs) and Potential Transformers (if used).
The application also provides configuration/caliberation of various features of sensor data acquisition, bi/unipolar sensor selection, polinomial sensor equation, selection of isolated digital inputs.
The application provides Client with MessagePack data interchange format for information exchange with 3rd party server/cloud applications. All on board preipherals are accessible via this interface. Example python and C++ code is provided for 3rd party application development.
The firmware supports all addons with no additional installations required. The addons are configurable through the command line interface or through MessagePack format messages.

- B2B System Integrators. The SMVect-PA can be utilized as a Multichannel AC/DC Power Analyzer, Smart Meter, Real Time sensor data acquisition, reporting and control solutions for commercial/industrial applications.
